Crankcase oil-mist concentration trip at 2.5 mg/L per IACS UR M10 on engines ≥ 2250 kW or cylinder bore ≥ 300 mm.

Formula, assumptions, and limits
UR M10 applies to trunk-piston + crosshead engines above the size thresholds. Detector monitors per-cylinder + common crankcase. Modern systems also detect bearing temperature rise (UR M10 complement).
