Container ships with significant reefer-plug capacity. Same reference line as conventional container ships; the CII difference sits entirely in the aux-engine fuel term driven by reefer load.
Formula
$$ \text{CII}_\text{required} = 1984 \cdot \text{DWT}^{-0.489} \cdot (1 - Z) $$

Reefer aux load is typically 3–3.5 kW per TEU; ~1,000 active plugs add 3 MW continuous → ~400 t/year extra MGO. Cold-ironing at reefer-busy ports offsets a meaningful fraction.
