Formula, assumptions, and limits

Exhaust energy ≈ SFOC × LCV per kWh at the shaft, of which η_WHR is extracted as electricity. The credit method in EEDI guideline MEPC.1/Circ.815 treats WHR as Category B and subtracts the P_WHR × SFOC_aux × Cf term from the EEDI numerator.
