Hollenbach Resistance
Hollenbach's 1998 regression updated Holtrop-Mennen with modern hull data. Gives tighter predictions for single-screw and twin-screw ships, especially at Cb > 0.70. Common first pass for containerships and ro-pax where Holtrop drifts.

The full Hollenbach regression exposes 20+ coefficients split by single/twin-screw and by displacement/draft regime. This calculator uses a reduced 6-term fit calibrated to the typical 0.55–0.85 Cb range; consult the 1998 paper for the full coefficient tables.
