NH₃ (Ammonia) Slip
Unburned ammonia from NH₃-fuelled engines. Ammonia is toxic and forms secondary PM; slip management is the headline safety challenge for ammonia marine propulsion.
Annual NH₃

High. Consider SCR-integrated aftertreatment.
Why it matters
Ammonia itself isn't a GHG but it is (a) acutely toxic - immediately dangerous to life and health at 300 ppm - and (b) a precursor to secondary PM and N₂O formation when processed by SCR at low temperature. Regulatory focus is on exhaust stack ppm limits and engine-room fugitive emissions.
The N₂O calculator handles the GWP-heavy nitrous-oxide co-product separately.
