LNG Density - Klosek-McKinley

Liquid density of LNG at cargo-tank temperature using the Klosek-McKinley corresponding-states method - the custody-transfer default for LNG cargo measurement.

Ideal mix molar volume

Corrected molar volume

LNG density

Formula, assumptions, and limits

Typical LNG densities 425–475 kg/m³. Nitrogen increases density measurably; C3+ components also densify. Method reproduces GIIGNL custody-transfer practice to ±0.1 %.
