Blended intensity = Σ(Eⱼ × Iⱼ) / Σ Eⱼ
Where Eⱼ = massⱼ × LCVⱼ and Iⱼ = WtW intensity of fuel j.
Blending is done on an energy basis, not a mass basis, because the FuelEU GHG intensity target (gCO₂e/MJ) normalises by energy. A 30 % mass HVO blend with 70 % VLSFO is NOT the same as a 30 % energy blend because HVO's LCV is ~9 % higher.
