Formula, assumptions, and limits

Credit_g_per_h = f_eff × P_eff × Cf_ME × SFC_ME
Attained_after = Attained_before − Credit / (Capacity × V_ref)

Category B and C credits are subtracted from the EEDI numerator. Category A reduces auxiliary demand (modelled by lowering P_AE rather than a standalone credit). MEPC.1/Circ.815 defines assessment procedures for each; most credits need verification by a recognised organisation before being counted in a Statement of Compliance.
